The center of Cesky Krumlov is one large museum in the open air. In most houses you will find cosy cafes or shops. In the town located near the Vltava river there are a lot of jewelry shops where visitors can buy jewelry made of vltavin. It is green semiprecious stone. Some people believe in its extraterrestrial origin.

Of course there are a lot of other activities in Cesky Krumlov except buying jewelries. Picturesque streets and the castle, I am sure, will catch your attention.

The castle in Krumlov is the second by size in Czech Republic after Prague Grad. In the Krumlov castle you will see different architectural styles. The most frequent are gothic and baroque. Pay attention to three-storeyed bridge, connected buildings of the castle.

On one of the walls of the castle you will see destroyed stones and growing plants. They say that plants began growing there because people poured out sewage from windows. But probably it is only a guess.
Krumlov is really small and cosy. In every season there is something magical in its streets.
