Christmas time is always special. This year I spend it in Dresden. Richly decorated streets, Christmas markets… In Dresden you will see what really holiday is.

While many people go shoppimg and looking for presents, others spend time on Christmas markets, where you can eat different meal and buy souvenirs. By the way, there a lot of wooden things.
One of the main symbols of Christmas are glowing stars and wooden pyramides. You can see them everywhere.

You can find Christmas atmosphere not only on Christmas markets but also on streets, in shops.

The most popular among tourists Christmas market is Stritzelmarkt. Other markets are not so big. But every market has his own atmosphere.

In Dresren you can even find medieval Christmas market. But if you want to visit it in the evening you have to pay. Entrance to other markets including Stritzelmakt is free.

Dresden waiting for Christmas is really fantastic. But do not forget that all this atmosphere depend on people. Here you can see Santa Clause on roller skates and  lots of people wearing Santa Claus hats. There is a tradition in German to decorate windows and balconies. And all these lights look really charming in the evening.

This year it is really difficult to believe that is is winter and Christmas time because of warm weather. You can see on the streets not only Christmas decoration but also blooming trees.
