Pillnitz is a country residence of Saxon kings, situated on the outskirts of Dresden. It includes a complex of buildings, a park with ponds and greenhouses. Moreover it is located on the Elbe bank. So there people can simuoltaniously enjoy nature and architecture.

Pillnitz was built in Chinese style. Two Chinese palaces are connected by another palaсe that looks more austere. One of two Chinese palaces is also water palace. Its steps go straight down to the Elbe. There you can also see how much water rose in the river in different years.

My second visit in Pillnitz was in the beginning of autumn.
In winter Pillnitz can seem strict and disolate. But in a sunny September day it is bright, exotic and very friendly.
