Sergey Rahmaninov is one of the Russian composers who
became famous all over the world. To know more about him, to feel the
atmosphere of the place where he created is possible in Ivanovka, Tambov region.
Here he spent much time from 1890 to 1917.

«The most Russian composer» (as specialists often call
Rahmaninov) lived with his wife in their relatives’ homestead. For them separate
outbuilding was constructed, but the composer created in the main house.
Unfortunately, all buildings were destroyed during the
Revolution and the Civil war. In 1968 the reconstruction began. Now tourists
can visit the main house and outbuilding. In addition, you can walk in the park
near the pond.

Today it is one of the largest center of preservation
of Rahmaninov heritage. Here festivals and different concerts of famous
musicians are held.
