The Elbe Castles in Dresden

Eckberg, Dresden
When we speak "Castle" we imagine in most cases something like fortifications or gothic building. Three castles on the Elbe aren't like that. They were built in XIX century and remain chic country villas.

Lingner's castle, Dresden
Not far from Dresden center there are three castles: Albrehtsberg, Lingner's castle and Eckberg.
Two castles - Albrehtsberg and Lingner's castle- were built for  the Prussian prince Albrecht. Their achitecture is a mix of classicism and architecture of Italian villas.
Now Albrehtsberg is a place for different exhibitions and celebrations, for example, for marriages. Lingner's castle now is a restaurant. Eckberg is a hotel.

Every castle has its own park where people can walk and enjoy nature and architecture. All three castles are located on the hill near the Elbe. Partial parks are created as terraces descending to the Elbe. In the park of the Lingner's castle you will also find vineyards.

There are a lot of interesting points in parks of the castles. I visited them several times and everytime I saw something new.
You can walk along and see a pond with beatiful birds and water lillies.

The first bridge remains me Bastai in Saxon Switzerland.
And from these parks you will have fantastic sights of Elbe.

In parks you can admire flowers' blooming. There are a lot of roses of different colours.
