Nowadays in Russia like in other countries, it is popular to decorate streets with art objects, various funny sculptures. Sometimes they make people smile, sometimes make them puzzled. So look at Russian cities from this angle.

If you were in Bremen, you saw Bremen musicians' monument. I found  Russian monument to them in Lipetsk.

The next sculptures are located in St. Petersburg. It is gratitude to cats who saved the city from rats during the Second World War.

By the way earlier in Russia cats saved from mice the masterpieces of the Hermitage, one of the most well-known world museums. The problem with mice in the Hermitage has been solved, but cats still live in it.

If you visit Ryazan you will definitely see the Mashrooms with eyes. Don't be afraid. It is just a monument. There is a saying in Ryazan: "There are mushrooms with eyes in Ryazan, you eat them -  they look". This can seem strange but there is historical fact connected with this saying. During the raids of the Golden Horde ceveral centuries ago, cut mushrooms informed Ryazan people about the danger.
